This plant was grown from seed collected by Bruce Bayer in South Africa in November of 1998 at Plutosvale.  This is the form britteniae.  Bayer describes a vast population of these plants at this location.  Plutosvale is also where ISI 1854 (H. attenuata var. britteniae)  was first collected in 1933!
