This plant was received as Haworthia beanii var minor. It is a clonotype of the plant collected by GG Smith that he used to describe H. beanii var minor. This plant today is reduced to viscosa, and shows some of the great variability found within H. viscosa. This plant is much larger and courser than the compact forms. It has a tough beauty of its own, and easily amount the slowest growing of all Haworthias. It turned a bright red in the sun while dormant this summer, but will change color again when growth resumes.
