Root Loss

While it is normal that a Haworthia discards some old roots, the loss of the whole roots indicates a problem which mostly is root rot, but also mealybugs. A growing medium which holds too much water is the primary cause of root rot. Besides, high temperatures after watering increase the chance of pathogens infection which also leads to root rot. Root mealybugs feed on roots, and it is necessary to look for white markings in the growing medium.
